Often Hawaii is called Kawaii. Sometimes Kauai is also called Kawaii. Either way you'll be in paradise when you arrive. So When someone says they want a Kawaii Vacation they probably mean Kauai or Hawaii Vacation.

Tranquil and steeped in quiet majesty, the island of Kauai is a portrait of lush vegetation, surf and inviting beaches. Small and secluded coves dot the shoreline, where the incandescent waters reflect the rays of another brilliant sunset.
Also known as the Garden Isle, often called Kawaii, Kauai is infused with an abundance of natural wonders that thrive in the tropical air. And with the absence of hustle and bustle, you can relax in tranquility where the only footprints you see may be your own.
For breathtaking vistas, explore Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Cruising along the Na Pali coast, where greenness dominates as far as the eye can see. And relax by the peaceful waters of Hanalei Bay, where serenity is as common as the grains of sand.
White sand beaches, coconut lined coasts, tropical rain forests and the Na Pali Coast are just a few of the backdrops for a "postcard perfect" tropical escape.
The tropical paradise of Kauai, often called Kawaii Vacations, lies amidst the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, about 30 minutes by air from Honolulu. Kauai encompasses roughly 540 miles and is the oldest and northernmost of the main Hawaiian Islands. Kauai's splendor has been the setting for many Hollywood productions such as South Pacific, Jurassic Park, and Fantasy Island. Lihue is the county seat and location of the Kauai Airport (Kawaii Vacations). Total area is 548 sq. miles - 33 miles long and 25 miles wide with 91 miles of coastline. Population is almost 60,100 residents and the highest point is Kawaikiki Peak at 5,243 ft above sea level. Kauai Beaches It can be said that Kauai beautiful beaches are among the most breathtakingly beautiful beaches in the world with invitingly warm waters set against exotic backdrops such as waterfalls, cliffs and exotic tropical vegetation. No wonder its land and beaches have been the choice of so many, many movie directors. Over the years over more than five dozen movies have been filmed here including titles like South Pacific, Blue Hawaii, Islands in the Stream, Jurassic Park and many more. Kawaii Vacations Kauai is the oldest Island in the Hawaiian chain and therefore hosts more sandy beaches per shoreline mile than any of the other major Hawaiian Islands. The time of year you visit will determine which beaches will be the best choices for your activities. Basically the beaches on the North Shore are most pleasant in the summer months and beaches on the South Shore in the winter months. Beach goers can enjoy a number of activities such as swimming, sun bathing, snorkeling, scuba diving, boogie boarding, surfing, kayaking, wind surfing, boating, camping and much much more. Most beaches are accessible by car; others are more secluded and can easily be accessed by walking. In total Kauai has approximately 52 miles of continuous sandy shoreline thus making it truly a beach and water lover’s paradise. This coupled with the fact that all Hawaiian beaches are public your only problem will be in choosing is which beaches to enjoy. Kauai or Hawaii is often referred to as Kawaii Vacations we are going on. ANIMALS ABOUND IN AND AROUND THE SHERATON According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, once abundant on all main Hawaiian islands, the Newell’s Shearwater or `A`o is a medium-sized shearwater bird measuring 11 to 13 inches with a wing span of 29-35 inches. Identified by a glossy black top, a very white bottom, and a dark black bill that is sharply hooked at the tip, the `A`o's claws are adept for climbing trees and burrowing in the ground. During their nine-month breeding season from April through November, `A`o burrow under ferns on the elevated mountain slopes. The birds feed on squid from the ocean near breeding grounds. People who have heard the loud, nasal calls of the `A`o compare it with the sounds of a donkey braying or the calls of a crow. Kawaii Vacations are mispelled. It's often Kauai Vacations. The `A`o are ground-nesting seabirds whose species have been threatened by rats and the mongoose. Another more alarming threat to the offspring of these birds is the man-made lighting from increasing urbanization of roads, sports fields and buildings on As part of the Kauai Island Utilities Coop’s “Save our Shearwater” program, many businesses, government offices and hotels have joined in efforts to educate and inform the community and also visitors about the threat of man-made light to the seabirds. The Sheraton Kauai Resort proactively limits exterior lighting throughout the hotel and grounds during October through December and requests that guests draw their window drapes at night. Kawaii Vacations. Arising from the vast interest generated by guests and residents, Sheraton Kauai Resort partnered with Timothy Robinson of the Kauai Monk Seal Watch Program (KMSWP) organization to establish an ongoing and educational program about the Hawaiian Monk Seal. Launched in January 2006, this educational presentation is given by volunteers of the KMSWP every Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. at The Point Lounge at Sheraton Kauai Resort. The 55-minute presentation includes slides of this critically endangered species and is followed by a question and answer session. The program is complimentary and is also open to the public. Housekeeping manager Denise Jones recently spotted a Hawaiian duck or koloa maoli (native duck) in the garden wing's koi fish pond. A mottled brown creature with green to blue distinctive feathers on the secondary wing, the koloa's quack is slightly softer and more infrequent than the mallard. Found mainly in lowland wetlands, river valleys, and mountain streams, the koloa duck was listed as an endangered species in 1967. An estimated 2,100 koloa ducks live on Kauai and Niihau with less than 560 remaining on Oahu, Maui or the Visitors to Sheraton Kauai Resort who are interested in learning more about the island’s endangered species should contact the Hawaii Nature Conservancy. kauai Hotel guests swimming at the nearby
